Transfer Deadline Day Transfer LINKS

Transfer Deadline Day Transfer LINKS

Only snippet today on transfer deadline day so far is in The Mirror. I`ll try to keep us updated through the day but must admit I don`t expect to be over busy. We live in hope.

Last night we had Wayhey Transfer Gossip with Bent being linked to Stoke and Yacouba Sylla, a defensive midfielder, for £1.75million being linked in.

Today we are being linked with Stoke striker Kenwyne Jones who was on his way to Swansea before his wage demands ended the move.

He has 5 goals in 19 for Stoke this season. Hmmm. Do we need that sort of ratio? I don`t think so.

Obviously if Stoke want Bent, there is the obvious chance of a swap? But would Bent really see Stoke as a decent move? Wouldn`t be surprised if he stays at Villa and then assess his options in the summer when he is sure to depart.

James Nursey of the Mirror also says that Villa want 27-year-old Porto defender Rolando. Apparently he is available on loan. QPR are also interested.

Rolando already signed for Napoli. I wouldn't want Jones either, he's just like Benteke, but worse.

The Sun have us weighing up a move for Malouda - dependant on wages.

The Sun have got the Malouda rumour from some dodgy ITK feed on twitter. Probably some 14 year-old with too much time on their hands.

Stoke set to offer 5mill + Johns and maybe Adams for Bent. They're for sale 3mill each otherwise lol. Must be April Fools right? Isn't Adams to big for a club like Villa anyways.

If we swap bent for jones I will officially throw the towel in. I'm not bents biggest fan like some on here but my god he's better than jones ffs! If bents gonna go at least get decent money in so we can spend it on a defender and/or midfielder!

Agree with LionHeart, why on earth would we do a swap for Jones? Would be one hell of a deal on Stoke's behalf. Bent is a very good player if he's playing with the right team that creates chances for him, we don't create much anymore (and when we do, we miss them!)

yeah but Jones would give us another useless big lump to hit hopeful long balls to. Why on earth would we want one of the premiership's top all time goal scorers when we can have Kenwyne Jones.

Rumour : Aston Villa, Derby County and Wolves have all been linked with Norwich City striker Simeon Jackson. The front man could be move on after the arrival of Luciano Becchio from Leeds

Definitely no to Jones as we have a much better big lad up front in Benteke. I would like one of Stoke's centre backs or centre mids though
