Every time I see Bennett on the teamsheet a small part of me dies. At least he's less of a liability as a wingback I guess.

Relax midfield are to be subbed at half time for our 5. 0. 5. formation as pioneered against bradford.

How I wish we were the HOME team, at least then this team would play their hearts out for all the faithful supporters. DoH just realised we are the home team. Well only 2-0 down. I know we will make our comeback-just don't know- which year.!!!!!

Bannan your a joke. the players were laughing at the team huddle at the start of the game and showed little interest in getting UP for the game. No aggression from anybody other than Zog. YES Zog is our most aggressive player. How Bannan even makes the squad is beyond me, honestly everyone can see it but Lambert....wake up! Team peformance and effort is a disgrace to the Villa shirt.

Does nobody at this club realise we're cussed if we go down??? Are we the only ones that care??? I'm just so angry but I must be the only one?? The team, the management, the board & the owner don't give a flying cuss!!

No width, totally over run in midfield. I fear this could be another big defeat. Come on Mr Lambert...smell coffee

Don't see what the problem is - this is the Villa NOT lying down but going again! Newcastle only have 68% possession

5-3-2 just invites the other team to attack! And we changed to 4-4-2 after second goal which emphasises even more how we have NO central midfield! It's embarrassing I'm sad to say.

That's it, we're gone. Down. Game over. Congratulations all involved in bringing our club to it's knees. At this rate we'll finish rock bottom on 20 points.

I've had it. 3 years of asset stripping and denials from the absent yank. When we go down he will simply sell any land off that the club own, including Bodymoor Heath (which is strangley close to the HS2 rail route that the government are building. Coincidence???), to recoup his money. He wont but 2 players to keep us up so he sure as hell wont fund a push to get promoted back. Oh yeah, almost forgot.......Why was Bannan starting? Did someone give him 'special cuddles' in the academy and now they have to start him to keep his mouth shut? For a ball playing midfielder he sure has crap control/passing ability/positioning.

Bannan was good second half and I'm one of his biggest critics. Lambert turned it round at half time (which has been done to us a few times recently ) he hasn't been given the tools needed to succeed. Hardly anyone put a bad pass in second half. Shame about 1st half, wonder if Bencht was played through the owner's request. Can't think of another reason. waste of space. Deserved a draw. We Will Be Alright.....

The only chance we have is a change of manager & bring in 2 midfield players.... Neither will happen tho so I'm afraid we're already gone!! Sorry 2 all fellow fans this shouldn't of ever happened. Who'd of thought the yank would be so w#*k

Can anyone, anyone at all, explain to me why we can't manage to play for a WHOLE match instead of just one half? First half against Albion, Bradford lately, second half tonight. Unbelievable, really it is. Sure, games change on fine margins, but if we can't put together whole matches of good play, we really do have no chance. Follow up question: where will the 6 or so wins we need come from. Any suggestions?

We'll be fine, we'll pick ourselves up and go again, we'll keep fighting......blah blah blah. My prediction for the bumbling idiot's after match press conference. Mr Lerner, Lambert is a disgrace. Lerner is fiddling while the villa burns. Lambert is so clueless it beggars belief. I can't remember a single game this year when he has got his tactics right, 5 at the back against a team playing 1 up top totally idiotic. Sack him now.

Maybe the other three crap teams will lose all their matches and we will stay up with the lowest points total in history. Someone summed it up well last week " we're Aston V(an)illa and we play for 45 minutes."

West Ham, Reading, QPR, Stoke, Fulham, Sunderland, Norwich and last day decider at Wigan........ that's where the points are, nowhere else

techmas - they are all highly winnable games, under normal circumstances. But for a team that lost a two-goal lead (and the match) vs Man United, then got properly tanked by Chelsea, Spurs and Wigan, can't see the decimated confidence returning enough to survive. 3 wins maybe?
