The club have confirmed that, subject to a medical, Alan Hutton will leave the club on loan for the remainder of the season.

The medical will take place tomorrow and the Spanish club have an option to make the deal permanent come the summer.

Best of luck to him & hope he stays there!

Biggest laugh of the season, the guy is gonna end Messi's career on Sunday 8th April.
If that means Hutton and Warnock leaving, freeing up 40k, who will be coming in?
Avfc94 we do
Still better than Lowton or Bennett
We've got such a solid defence we can clearly afford to loan out experienced Not a massive fan of Hutton but he would clearly improve our defence right now if for no other reason than adding some muscle and nastiness so we aren't such a push over.
Wonder if he will get to majorca 10 minutes late and pick up a yellow card, like he always did with his tackles? Right this minute there are 5 supposedly senior full backs at the club. Not one of them is Prem quality. Warnock was once, Lowton might be in future, but Hutton, Lichaj and Bennett are just a waste of wages.
It should be a time to celebrate as we are getting rid of ,as most of us have said previously,a waste of space, overpaid, thug but still some fans moan! No pleasing some fans!
I find it all a bit baffling. What can Real Mallorca possibly see in Hutton that we seem to have overlooked? He must have one hell of an agent!
mick, this for me sums up where lambert has gone wrong. Its called management not gambling. Bringing in replacements for hutton and warnock was spot on, trying youth whilst loaning out the unwanted duo would be good management if the plan was to recall them and use them if the replacements turned out to be worse but alas the inept one decides that whilst it is obvious to a blind man that both hutton and warnock could be usefully used until the summer (whether as fullbacks or as bite in midfield) his ego is too frail to change tack and so we will go down because lambert is too pig headed, arrogant, stupid and inept to look for plan B.
when we have Bennett in the team its hard to knock Hutton. he could even beef up the midfield a bit. so i agree with PiperUK and avbornandbred.
Hutton is not better than Bennett who is a LB not a TH. Whoever said that obviously did not go to a lot of games last season. Surely, the worst RB ever to put on a shirt at VILLA Park. Turkey awful.
Certainly good we are getting rid of players, always said our squad is too big! ahem.. ;o)
The Fear
Im amazed people defend Warnock & Hutton still. Its as much their uestionable charachter and loyalty to the club as their ability. I think the club have kept it as in house as posible but I get the impression these 2 players ar deeply disliked inernally!!
Chelt Villan
Will the last one out please turn off the lights, thanks...
Sorry my attitude to him is the same as last season waste of space, Warnock also its easy to forget just how bad they were because their replacements arent any better. next we will be calling for Dunny lets forget about his own goals & free gift of a pen every now and then. We let our best defender last season go to West Ham for 2 mill Collins the Hoof. Cant argue we needed to replace the whole defence but with better players and hopefully able to deal with corners at least.
collins has scored two great goals from corners... how many goals have we scored from corners??
yep maigrait like I said our best defender last season point I was making is how many we have conceeded from corners though.
Hutton has been a massive let down since his move south. started brightly, discovered a few drinking joints and went to *****e..
Bennett has been a huge let down and is now a worse option than Warnock IMO. Lowton I think has done well with managing the step up, in most games he has arguably been our best defender and one of the more consistent performers, he has had a couple of bad games but i think he has done well overall. Cuellar is a huge miss at the back as is Collins both of which I would rather of kept than Dunne. Vlaar started well until his injury but i think once he is back up to speed will be decent. he needs a solid partner, the confidence of clark and baker must be shot now. clark i would move into DM and as others have said try baker at left back as bennett just cant defend and looks scared to tackle. Dunne may at least help at defending set pieces when back in the team but we may then be susceptible to more goals from open play if our midfield is not strengthened. I was full of optimism for Lamberts reign and will continue to back the lads during games but so far the results are totally unacceptable and I cant see us staying up unless we can get some fresh faces into the squad even if they are just loans.
agree with chelt villain. These guys just milked the club of 30-40k a week. they were both useless and I respect Lambert for having some principles.
... though 30-40K a week will be dwarfed by the loss of revenue if we drop out of the Prem. Inept. Weak. Misguided. Maybe we need to replace 'Prepared'.
he's better than lowton
All I can say to Chopper, not a term of affection by the way is to quote Michael Palin whilst chained to a wall: 'You lucky, lucky ********!'
Mervin King's Pocket
Linked by Sky Sports with West Ham's Diame, finally seen AVFC linked to a decent player this window! Doubt that it will happen though, seeing as Arsenal are also in the race supposedly. And I doubt the player would see as an attractive place to go.
Great stuff VillaHippo. Gonna take a good wage to get him but i have faith tomorrow well be a good day of signings because i expect no one! Just seen Samba outside Villa Park.. Said he was on route to London to sign up for QPR lol.
Goodluck to the lad. I bet Messi and co are wondering "how the hell are we going to get past him". !!
