Mystic Mug 'Villa's Heads Gone' Lawro Says Draw

Mystic Mug 'Villa's Heads Gone' Lawro Says Draw

Ok, so here we go... back to the bread and butter. Our league survival as Newcastle United also look to halt their alarming downward spriral.

Lawro says 1-1.

He argues on http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21171673 that Lambert needs to make up his mind what his best system and starting 11 is.

"Villa suffered another demoralising loss against Millwall in the FA Cup and I think Paul Lambert now needs to pick his best 11 players and decide on a system. And he needs to find a place in the team for Darren Bent because he is a goalscorer. Villa are playing games in the league without him, with Christian Benteke up front on his own in a 4-5-1 formation, but they are losing."

Adding, "If I were the manager, I would think, let's try to get Bent in the team alongside the Belgian, play our best team and see where we go from there because they are desperate for a win. They have to find a way of making it work. Both are good players and there are teams at the bottom who would love the two of them. When you have a goalscorer like Darren Bent, regardless of whether you have had a falling out with him, if he does not think he works hard enough, the most difficult position in the team is scoring goals. You might have to go back on your principles, but if you win a few games, you don't get relegated. Get him in there.'

He predicts we might just escape.

Mystic Mug thinks Villa`s heads have gone. He hopes to be wrong but says 1-0 to Newcastle.

Every Villan has wanted to see Bent up top with Benteke for an extended run. We saw it once again Swansea and surprise surprise we looked good, yet we haven't seen it again, that's terrible management. I've always been positive with my predictions on here but I give up. My prediction for this game - Bent to start on bench and come on with 15/20 to go and have no time at all to get into the game, Ireland to stay on bench the while game. Bannan to come on after 60mins and spray hollywood passes everywhere except the place they are meant to go. Bannan to also take every corner and free kick and over hit them by at least 10/15 meters. Newcastle to win 3-1, Lambert to say we won't roll over, we will fight etc etc etc and Lerner to be the last supposed fan to hear the result and to be the least effected by it as well. I've had it.

Painful 2 or 3 goal defeat. Agree with the idea of bent and benteke up front but Lambert is too stubborn to do it. I'd play those two with Weimann and nzogbia and Clark and Westwood behind them. I'd also have lichaj instead of Bennet and would use his long throw as a weapon instead of completely ignoring it as usual

I go alngwith a lot of what you say AVbandb. Lichaj on the left isn't good though, he much better on he right, so I'd have Stevens at LB with Dunne talking him through. Like the look of the midfield and yes, I'd try and fit Bent in with Tekkers. However, I had a dream a couple of nights ago of Ireland scoring for us!!!! 2 or 3 -1 to Newcastle. Their first away in of the season.
