Warnock Exit Now + Two Strikers Out In Summer?

Warnock Exit Now + Two Strikers Out In Summer?

Not one link inward, looks like the press have given up trying to guess.

However two links out.

The Guardian say that Villa will cut their losses and allow Stephen Warnock to leave on a free to West Ham.

We paid £7million for him from Blackburn in the 2009/10 season. He`s not been given a chance with the new manager, dropped to train with the kids. There might be behind the scenes reasons for this, if not, I can`t see why he wasn`t at least on the bench, not as if we have done any good this season and he does have top level international experience. He also did fairly well in midfield towards the end of last season which helped us stay up? He was a good player for us at one point, he then lost his way, but if Lambert is in the same mould as O`Neill (who Warnock did well under) then ....?

Anyway, that is what the report says. Best get the wages off our list if he isn`t being used.

Matt Law at The Mirror says that Christian Benteke is being eyed up by Tottenham, Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City.

Makes sense, especially if we go down. He won`t feel he owes us any loyalty and won`t want to be in the Championship you wouldn`t think.

The report also says that Darren Bent is likely to leave in the summer.

Villa are apparently keeping an eye on Watford 24-year-old striker Troy Deeney.

Happy days.

I've been waiting and waiting, not for big signings but a Cm with a rating of 7/10. I'd be happy with a 6. I'd be happy with Reo Coker. Just someone - anyone that well bring confidence and leadership to the team. We get out muscled and out jumped. We would get crucified away from home in the championship against teams with the height and power of Stoke. Good job we don't have to play them 10 times away.

Bent , Benteke to go in the summer ???? just when will the revolving door of players and managers be shut once and for all. Any player who shows potential or promise immediately gets linked with a move away, no wonder we don't progress.

Yes, let one of our only experienced defenders go for nothing, buy nobody, and sell our 2 international strikers in the summer. So which is worth more, the new TV deal or the relegation parachute payment? I would have thought the new TV deal, but obviously it's the parachute payment seeing how Randy Lerner is doing his best to get us relegated.

This is starting to feel like the club is being dismantled. To be scrapped and sold for junk....

Disgraceful all round. Warnock always gave 100%. The way successive managers have bought and benched players, it's a wonder why anyone comes to the Villa.

We might be selling are to best strikers, but don't worry lads! We're going to replace them with some no mark from League One. It's not like Lambert's policy of signing substadard lower league players with no Prem experience has failed before, so no doubt we'll be shooting up the table any day soon. Champions League here we come!

Warnock was abysmal per season away to forest... He did well for a good while but showed no sign of turning his form around last year.. So best of luck to him wherever he goes... However we do need 2 midfielders... Wud love to see us with a central midfielder who always wants the ball no matter the outcome because our cms all look scared of the ball at present... Also malouda would be a good shout to add some experience If he has stayed fit on Chelsea's bench...
