Well, got to do something after the game haven't I.

Me and JF don't have the luxury of just logging on and watching the rest of the site do something whilst we sit here pointing for half a working day, before not even bothering to do that for the rest, almost managing to delete an article when it's far far easier to actually hit submit and blindly staring at the middle of the screen because we are afraid of corners....yeah I can't be bothered with more lame metaphors.

Fill your boots up.

Well at least Roncrete looks as gutted as most of us. But fair play to Bradford, they deserved it, and I really hope they go on and get absolutely hammered in the final.

Just back from .....can't call it a match, it was an embarrassment, a disgrace. In all the rubbish that has been served up to us over the past 2 years, including the humiliation at Chelsea, the shocker against Wigan, the games against Arsenal and ManU last season when we admitted defeat before even taking the field, the game tonight takes pride of place. The pity is that the atmosphere before the game was great - fans singing, showing real optimism, waving the flags. And then the team put on a performance of such ineptitude, that it simply defied belief. I cannot imagine any other 11 EPL players giving a performance as unremittingly bad as that. The defence did not exist; there was no threat from the front, where there was no width and everything got congested in the centre. We will never have an easier chance of getting to a cup final. Consequences need to be drawn from this debacle. As for our chances of remaining in the EPL, they simply no longer exist.

I should have added that the utter shambles last night resulted in fans arguing amongst themselves in the Holte End. A night which had begun with such hopes and optimism, ended with a divided fanbase. The game last night was possibly the most shameful in the history of AVFC.

Quite honestly there are players in that team who should never play again in the 1st team, number one candidate is Bannan, terrible delivery tonight and no wonder our forwards can't score and where is the direct football , too many square balls looking for an opening when some real speed would of not been amiss. Saying all that 3 points against Newcastle is far more important in our season overall. Against Millwall on Friday I would play Carruther's , give him ago and by transfer deadline we need some new signings with experience flair and quality but who and at what price ???

I can tell you the Newcastle result right now. 1-1. Or 0-1. Easiest team to predict in the world. Gonna start lumping big on us now.

If we had 11 ron vlaars we might stand a chance. Unfortunately we only have 1.

Seeing his performance last night I'm glad we haven't got 11 ron vlaars!! He was at fault for their goal and his reaction to a misplaced pass - his - was to blame Lowton who he was passing to. He didn't show leadership qualities and never has done anytime I've seen him.

Norwich fan here - first of all commiserations it happens to us all. What is important though is that you stick with PL. The man is the business he will sort it out and he will bring you success - your only problem is when a bigger club comes a calling as happened to us. Get behind PL he will deliver!

Couldn't post last nite just too upset and angry. What the hell des PL say to the players that results in what we saw last nite. We have possibly the worst 2 fullbacks I hav ever seen at the villa (including the 2 divs from last season). Why oh why did they get the ball and cut inside to where 20 others players were, when the whole Holte coud see the space down the wings . Surely as "better players" they should be taking on defenders and dragging players out Of the centre thus creating space. Bannan, wate of space. And as for the last half hour it was like watching a pub team, put 5 strikers on and lump the ball aimlessly into the box. Really is that the best we could offer.........utter pile of s@@t and an embarrassment to the fans that had villa park rocking last nite. LAMBERT YOU HAVE GAMBLED WITH OUR GREAT CLUB AND FAILED.
