Advertorial: Villa Odds On FA Cup This Season

It would be fair to say that this season so far has not been a vintage one for Aston Villa, as they have struggled to escape the relegation zone virtually since the start of the season, enduring a particularly awful festive period. However sometimes the FA Cup can provide an unexpected kick start to the season of a struggling team, as a run in the competition boosts their confidence in the league matches. Furthermore, occasionally a struggling league team defies this to actually win a cup competition, so what are the chances of Aston Villa being that team this season? Read on and make your decision, as if the answer is 'yes` then you could be looking at a nice big return from a relatively small bet!

It definitely would be an outside bet for anyone who wanted to wager money on it with a sports betting site, as the odds on Villa winning the FA Cup are currently either 66/1 or 50/1 at most sports betting sites. There is little, if anything, in their general league form to suggest that they could defy these odds, but they have made it to the semi finals of the League Cup indicating that the young squad may find one-off cup matches less stressful. Nonetheless a bet on Villa would represent a huge risk, if you were putting down money, as there are clubs outside of the favourites who represent a much stronger chance - such as Everton at 10/1 or West Brom at 33/1. Both of these sides are comfortable in the league, meaning they can focus more of their attention on a bid for the cup.

Of course betting on the FA Cup is even more risky and unpredictable than league betting, because of the nature of one-off cup matches, meaning that some football betting fans may prefer to skip it. Thanks to the way in which the internet has re-shaped the gambling industry however, there are decent alternatives available. As online bookmakers have recently started to allow for great advantages such as being able to place a bet during the middle of a game, online casinos have shared this growth. They have even tried to tap into the target audience of these sports betting sites by introducing games like Soccer Safari, which you can Play here. This involves animals competing in a jungle World Cup - and is fun, genuinely football-based, and are less likely to cost you your shirt than betting on Villa for the Cup. If you can`t see any of the teams outside the top four who you think might be worth a little bet then it might be worth exploring the Lucky Nugget site a bit considering the odds given for those 4 teams. Any game you would want to play at a land-based casino is available and aside from the football themed slots there is enough variety to suit any mood. If you`re after a little more control over the fate of your cash however, then don`t forget the games such as poker, blackjack and even the roulette which are games that rely not only on luck but also on skill. Given the unpredictability of English football it might be a good idea . . . it seems you can spend as much time as you like studying results and performances and come out none the wiser!

I wouldn't but a penny on Villa to the win the Fa Cup. Looking at us getting relegated. Odds look good, I'm tempted. Only because I never win so maybe I'll jinx that and we well stay up? Oh btw I bet on Villa to win the Carling Cup before the season started at 33/1.. Gutted!

we need to exit the cup and concentrate on the relegation battle, never thought I'd say such a thing !
The Fear
Oh don't worry JF we'll exit the FA Cup alright..... no problem.

I d like to beat Millwall thanks very much (which I think the reserves could do btw) and then go out 4th round, with the reserves again, otherwise too much extra game time to pick up knocks and cards (which I think all count in the wonderful world of the F.A.)
