Trust Us, We Are NOT In Dreamland!!!!

Trust Us, We Are NOT In Dreamland!!!!

Paul Lambert in the www.express.co.uk says Aston Villa fans are in dreamland if they think the club can afford star names to dig them out of yet another crisis.

Similar quotes in www.dailystar.co.uk

Hence, I assume, not many press links for me to report for the much needed players and experience needed to keep us up this season.

www.birminghammail.co.uk also:

Amidst questions about his transfer plans for the current window, Lambert was asked: "When fans say things like 'we need Joleon Lescott, we need Scott Parker`, are they in dreamland?"

To which the Villa boss replied: "Yes, money, I think that`s the reality of it. We can`t do it."

So there you go, no transfer links for you folks. We might get one or two if we are lucky apparently.

And I think I`ll throw in an unhappy smiley face as well..... :(

Is he having a pop at randy? I think he'd obviously love to bring lescott in but seems randy has ordered him to shop in primary rather than selfridges

Beginning to concede the fact we will be relegated. Just can't see us turning it around now. Even more so if this is to be true.

I don't expect "top" players, just "experienced" players. If he is lumping them together, then we are doomed Captain Mannering.

Lambert sure knows how to up the confidence levels doesn't he ? Never been so pessimistic about Villa...let's face it, if it wasn't Villa and we paid to watch this crap, we'd all be asking for our money back. We won't sign anyone any good because noone wants to sign for a relegation bound club....booooo Lambert !

Not lambert's fault. Randy says we can't afford it. We couldn't ******** afford it under MON but we still did it. This is Randy's fault. No arguments. Randy can definitely afford it but wants to make a profit. It doesn't happen overnight. You need to invest and achieve success and then build on it. The monies will be made in the long run if a sensible and competent plan is executed. Boom and bust or waste and scrimp are not sensible or competent plans.

This is nothing new. We're not going to sign someone for 10 Million and pay them 60k a week, £240,000 a month. This is the whole reason we are doing what we are doing. However, the idea that we are deluded is slightly insulting. a under no illusion.
