Dunne & Dusted & An Incoming Defender?

Dunne & Dusted & An Incoming Defender?

This is how you start a morning, Richard Dunne to the MLS and a 20 year old defender linked in.

It's being reported that a deal taking Richard Dunne to the MLS an New York Red Bulls has been done and dusted, baring one caveat...providing he can return to fitness before the window closes.

And yup, that's all there is on that one so far.

He is also, now, being linked via the Daily Mail to QPR. Hmmm.

In other news, we are being linked with Bologna's Frederik Sorensen.

The 20 year old joined from Juventus on a co-ownership deal (yeah could be muddy) and apparently he's been going from strength to strength, scoring his first goal against Parma a couple of weeks ago.

I bow to those who may know something about him, as I certainly don't.

Very important month for us January, both on and off the pitch. Certainly our immediate future will be a lot clearer when February the 1st arrives. Like your jolly good self Mike, I am in total ignorance of young Frederik Sorensen, so on the possibilities of him arriving at dear old Brum B6, or the impact he might have on our woefully weak defence, I can offer no insight. All I would say though, is like the majority of Villans out there, I believe that strengthening at the back is very much required, as we currently possess the weakest back four that I have seen at Villa Park in years. Perhaps the politest words to say right now, is that we currently dont possess a back four worthy of the name. Come to think of it, we dont possess a midfield worthy of the name either.

midfields the problem. defence is taking the stick here but are midfield is so weak teams like wigan just stroll through the midfield and give the defenders 90 minutes of hell. midfield is our problem. spend all transfer budget on midfielders

Frederik Sorensen turns into a world-class defender on FIFA 13, so if the FIFA researchers are any good, I'd back that move all day long!

definitely need more quality bodies in defence as we lack any cover but what is painfully obvious is that opposing teams walk through our midfield, who are equally as poor going forward as they are shielding our defenders

After reading a little bit about him, I say bring him in and quick! Also a few midfielders and wingers would be nice.

Despite all the headlines, I think that we'll be alright defensively. Our midfield is the problem. Need a creative player who cam play a killer ball like yesterday.

I've been saying for ages, multiple transfer windows that we need a bloody MAN in midfield. A man who can tackle and block and harrass and crunch the phuk out of a gmae, week in, week out. Surely mto McGrath, if I can see it, why can't three managers in a row. I know I'm not wrong on this one! Get thee a manfielder Lambert, please.
