Lambert - Young Enough & Good Enough

As Villa prepare to take on Chelsea this weekend, Paul Lambert has again hailed his young lads for having the belief in themselves to compete.

Speaking to the Official Site as we look for back to back victories to really lighten the mood of the season, Lambert said of young charges:

'You just give them the belief that they are good enough to play, they have grasped that. If you're in the league and you're playing, you've earnt that right. They are playing really well, they have great enthusiasm. Win, lose or draw, one thing I know I will get is absolute endeavour. That's all you can ask. It was the youngest team the othe day which is remarkable. There are not many teams who will go to Anfield and score three and win, what they did was a phenomenal thing.'

Two people who will be looking to continue their form in the next match will be Christian Benteke and Andreas Weimann, and Weimann has lavished praise on his strike partner following the Liverpool clash.

'For us, Christian has been outstanding. For my game, he's probably the perfect player to partner up front.'

With the almost endless 'Benteke can be whatever he wants to be' comments, it's was obvious that Andi would be asked the question:

'Is he scary? No, but he looks scary. He just walks around the place smiling, he's a nice guy. He seems like a gentle giant. I've not seen him angry yet - maybe you wouldn't want to!'

Credit where it's due also, Weimann now has five goals in the last six games. Let's hope that continues this weekend.
