Unoial Villa News...

delirium: A bit off topic but Aston Villa has been mentioned in my local newspaper today, in Le Havre (France)! Jonathan Calderwood, head groundsman at Villa is in town in order to check some issues with Le Havre AC's brand new turf. The club's chairman has been quoted as saying that asking for Aston Villa's help was an obvious choice because he thought we had the nicest pitch in the UK and they were looking for the best piece of advice. Lovely credit to the club.

Speaking to the Birmingham Post Laursen explained that Guzan had always given his all and been professional when out of the team, and he was delighted to see him take his first team chance and make the most from it: Laursen Delighted With Guzan Growth

By Brian Doogan: From a stage at the centre of the Holte Suite, having posed for pictures with staff from hospitality, stewarding, security, operations and other departments at the back of the packed room, Paul Lambert made a short address to matchday staff attending their Christmas party. 'All of you here play a vital role at the Club and the games wouldn't happen without the work and dedication you put into it each and every time,' the Villa manager enthused. 'For everything you do - and I mean this genuinely - a really sincere word of thanks.' See: www.avfc.co.uk
