'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Carew Retains Villa Soft Spot

John Carew has happily passed the torch onto Christian Benteke, and he's delighted that it's starting to come together for Paul Lambert.

He tweeted recently:

'Benteke is the new hero that Villa Park needed. After wins over Norwich and Liverpool, my Villans are flying!! Benteke is on fire. Lil Weimann is not Lol anymore. The way Villa are playing warms my heart.'

Warms the heart doesn't it!

Upbeat, positive, claret, blue, and lime green vibes are cropping up everywhere. It appears to be infectious. It clearly is the season of goodwill amongst Villamen everywhere.

Now Carew of 5 years ago and benteke as our strike force! Ouch that would be a powerhouse of an attack!! Carew still a hero here! Never forget his treble at as St. James's!

Some of my best times down the Villa was thanks to big Johns efforts, I will always remember the look on his face when he missed the goal in front of the Holte End against Everton (2-2 result) he looked as wounded as the fans he didn't slot it in the back of the net. All my best to big John, a true Villan.

Watched in awe from the North Stand the day we beat Bolton 5-1 and he left Cahill on his backside with a nutmeg. On his day, unplayable. Benteke is unplayable every day.
