Benteke's Potential Is Absolutely Frightening

After another monsterous performance from the big man Christian Benteke, Paul Lambert has waxed lyrical about how good this lad could actually be.

Speaking to the Official Site after ending the week on the perfect high, Lambert said of Benteke:

'I have seen that sort of thing all along. You run out of things to say about the big guy. He's unbelievable. He's 22 and he can be anything he wants. He's a top lad too which is important. His partnerships - whether it's with Andi, Darren, Gabby - it seems everyone likes playing alongside him. He's been sensational for us. There aren't many who can push him off the ball, that's for sure. He's got the potential to be one of the best. I don't want to put too much pressure on him but the potential for someone as young as that is an absolutely frightening thought.'

I have to admit....Paul Lambert makes Martin O'Neill look like a fool in the transfer market. We might be onto something big here. Once this young squad matures with the confidence, we could be a real threat.

Holding on to Benteke is only half the battle. Holding on to Lambert is the other half. Fergie, Wenger, Benitez and maybe Mancini are on their way out. Guardiola can't manage four clubs.
