'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Pre Liverpool Injury News

We have a few out, and a few back...don't expect many changes to the Norwich line up.

Ron Vlaar and Darren Bent are both definitely out of contention for the Liverpool game, and Gabby Agbonlahor is ranked as doubtful.

Defensively there is some good news with both Enda Stevens and Joe Bennett back in contention.

Speaking to the Official Site about our injury woes, Paul Lambert explained:

'Ron is struggling with a calf, it's a blow, he's away for a scan now. It's not too far away but this weekend is too early. Darren is not fit, he's hurt his hamstring as everyone saw on Tuesday. He will be out for a few weeks. We will also have to see how Gabby is, he had a little problem the other night.'

Lambert adds that Bent underwent a scan on Wednesday but no definitive time out has yet been given.

I say go wth the same team that smashed the Canairies 4-1 but Weeman needs to be alongside Bentekers, and gulp never thought i would say this N'Zogbia should start hewas up fo it on Tuesday night?

Gabby ranked as doubtful?.... good news then...
Pride of Lions
Gabby has been doubtful for 2 years , now I have no doubt he is the next Luke Moore

Same team but get Westwood in for El Ahmadi who was our poorest player on Tuesday. Zoggy to come on for a bright 20 min cameo when Holman has run himself into the ground. Wish Vlaar would hurry up and make a return, I know the three young lads have done well I just think he's a real leader for us and obviously a concrete wall at the back.
Lion Heart
Agree LionHeart Westwood needs to get back in there for KEA, and Zog to come on for the last 20mins makes sense to give us a bit of pace and creative threat 100% agree with LionHeart here!

Ashley Westwood has to return, and I'd be tempted to include Charles N'Zogbia from the off. Defensively, apart from the return of Guzan, we should continue with the lads who did us proud at Norwich, even though at times they were opened up too easily for my liking by the City forwards. I'd like to see a fully fit Joe Bennett in there, I think he has potential, despite his iffy stop/go start to his Brum B6 career, but Lichaj I think deserves another outing, although I have reservations about his all round game.

Whatever we think as individuals about how good a player is - or isn't - it's a pity we can't just say who we think should be in the team without dissing a true Villa man ...

I was so happy when Lambo took the job thought we had a manager to build us back up to wear should be.. although the first 8-10 games didn't go as we'd all hoped. We are now def turning the corner and they never win anything with youngsters!!! Even N'zogbia looks interested..unbelievable! If he turns into the player that we paid 12mil for then easy mid table this year. The most praise I have is for our new front partnership Weimann & Benteke. Let it blossom! UTV

Yup, be quite interesting to give Zoggy a run now, one last chance, shape up or ship out.
