Ice Cool Striker Linked & Creative Midfielder Also

The Daily Mail are linking Villa with 23-year-old Icelandic striker Alfred Finnbogason who has 12 goals in 14 games for Heerenveen.

The paper says the Club have a history of buying and developing strikers to sell on at a profit, this player joined them last year for £1million from Belgian side Lokeren.

They say that Bent will leave in the Jan transfer window and also that we`ve scouted Celta Vigo striker Iago Aspas but think the price is too high.

Sky Sports meanwhile 'understands` (love that!) that Villa are amongst a few Premiership clubs looking at Millwall`s 23-year-old creative midfielder James Henry

Sky say he is "regarded as one of the most creative midfielders outside of the Premier League and has shown he has an eye for spectacular goals."

He also has one of the best assist records in the Championship.

January is rarely the best time to buy, but I have a hunch VP is going to be busy in the new year. Amen to that.

Dear God not Altidore please !... Know nothing about Boateng. James Henry is highly regarded and I know my Millwall mates rave about him..... will pop across the road to their training ground and sound him out shall I ?
