Spotlight on DB9 today then, hope he can perform under the pressure.

Hmmm, not sure about our midfield - oh well, in Lambert we trust!
11/12/2012 19:08:00
Interesting line up at 5-3-2 again, looks like a very 'busy' but uncreative midfield 3, hopefully we can stifle Norwich in the centre. Looking forward to seeing the Benteke and Bent together. Big game for Delph he has no more excuses now.

Time for DB to prove the doubters (including myself) wrong!

I used to be a glass half full supporter! Now all I can see are the dregs!!! With the mid-field we will be thrashed. 4 - 0 to Norwich at best. If PL isnt nterested in the cup then why didnt he play the reserve team. Oh I forot they are now our first team!! Now you can see why I hardly ever post!!!
11/12/2012 19:32:00
yeah wish you'd not bother if your gonna be that bloody defeatist.

Lambo is a top fella and deserves support even if Villa go down. All the same Norwich fans have a right to feel aggrieved. If Newcastle fans -- for example -- started singing 'Paul Lambert's Toon Army' while he was still the head honcho at Villa, how would most Lions fans feel?
11/12/2012 19:49:00
VWRA Imo they have every right to be disappointed that he left but to feel hatred or whatever is silly because many seem to hate him which is unfair... He took them from nothing in L1 to the EPL and built an adaptable and very capable side... I like Chris Hughton and think he deserves some credit for Norwichs recent revival but PL built the foundation and basis for their success... It would take incredible ignorance to forget that and berate PL because he chose to move to a bigger club with a larger fanbase and infrastructure... When a manager (or player) leaves fans need to take an objective look at the situation and assess why did he leave... It seems to me the board were not willing to make a bigger commitment to PL plans and instead wanted to try struggle on with little investment in the squad... Then there is the case of Norwich flat out rejecting Villas enquiry which forced PLs hand because he had a legal right to speak with us... You cant compre PL leaving us now and heading off to Newcastle... Look at the difference in situations between Swansea/Liverpool and Norwich/Villa Rodgers had Swanseas backing but when Liverpool come knocking Swansea just stepped aside and the fans applauded him when he went back... Iv no doubt many Norwich fans will do the same for PL but anyone who is bitter about it needs to wake up...
