Given Going Nowhere

Given Going Nowhere

Paul Lambert has said he isn't aware of any interest in Shay Given, and he has no intention of loaning him out in January.

'Has there been any interest in Given? I haven't a clue. I'm just happy to have two quality goalkeepers here. Am I tempted to send Given on loan? No. The fact Brad had got Shay breathing down his neck, I'm sure is driving him on.'

Quotes from Sky Sports.

Now I think many could see the sense in a permanent deal and surely Given would entertain that thought, but there's no sense at all in a loan spell in my mind.

Given will be pushing and helping Guzan, so there's no point in upsetting the camp at the moment.

I love how managers always say 'I haven't a clue' when asked if there is interest. Of course you know, you'd be the first to know!!

It is one of those curious cliches they all trot out isn't it.

We need all the experience we can muster, so letting Given go out on loan or sale would be stupid IMHO.

If other managers watched him tonight, be even less interest
