Frossum posted this in our forum and I thought it worthy of debate! My Summer signing ratings: Vlaar (A)- Concrete Ron has been an excellent signing. In Vlaar we are finally getting the production from a CD we hoped to get when we signed dud`s like Warnock. He is our team captain enough said. Hope he is fit soon. See: AVFC Summer Signings Rated

A bit of alliteration on a Tuesday evening never hurt anyone. Sid has said Derrick Williams richly deserved his debut as a reward for his commitment and attitude in training. Speaking to the Official Site Cowans described our young centre half as somebody 'who gives everything in whatever he does' and said he was pleased to see that attitude rewarded by Paul Lambert in our recent match. See: Cowans - Derrick Deserved Debut

Another Villa home game changed for blinking TV. Our game v West Ham at Villa Park is now live on Sky Sports on Sunday February 10th at 1:30pm. In other game date news... Villa v Ipswich in the FA Cup 3rd round will take place at 3pm on Saturday 5th January. I know, 3pm on a Saturday, what a ridiculous time for a football game!!!!!!!!!!

Holte139: 'It's a bit of a shame that we have gone for him when there are better players out there we could have gone for on a Bosman.' 'Hmmm. clearly didn't cut it at Feyenoord and got farmed to two bollocks Dutch teams before going to AZ where they don't seem to arsed about keeping him even though they are on for the champions league this year.' 'We are signing Bosmans who no one has heard of. Life is great.' 'Meh.' The above are all posts that appeared on another Villa forum, on March 12, the day that it was announced that Brett Holman had signed for the club. Full article: The fall and rise of Brett Holman

Gabby Agbonlahor has said that he thinks everyone can see the improvements in the squad over the recent few weeks, and that they can only get better.... See: Gabby - Progress Can Be Seen

So how has Nathan Delfouneso done during his spell so far at Blackpool? Well we are part of a network, so I thought I'd ask - I have intelligent moments like this occasionally! With thanks to Simon from Vital Blackpool. See: A Vital Blackpool View On Delfouneso

Another week from the Sheriff: The Week In Villa (18)

Ashley Westwood has said he hopes the fans will be in good voice for the Stoke encounter, because there's nothing like a rocking Villa Park. Speaking to the Official Site ahead of the weekends game, Westwood said he was loving the experience of playing at Villa Park, and he's looking for the fans to lift the team again as we go in search of another three points. See: Westwood Wants A Rocking Villa Park

As we edge nearer to January, the rumour mill is slowly waking itself up. A 27 year old winger, and a 17 year old midfielder top the bill at the moment. See: Transfer Speculation Starts To Hot Up

Thought for the day: 'I can't stand being cuddled, but one day I might change and start to like it. But don't hold me to that..'
