Transfer Speculation Starts To Hot Up

As we edge nearer to January, the rumour mill is slowly waking itself up. A 27 year old winger, and a 17 year old midfielder top the bill at the moment.

The Daily Mail amongst others are linking us to 27 year old winger Modou Sougou who plays for FC Cluj.

The player has apparently been impressing scouts from the Premier League with Villa reportedly tied with Newcastle and Norwich in wanting his services after impressing in the Champs League.

The Senegal international is said to want a move from Romania in January and could be available for as little as £2million.

The Brum Mail amongst others however have us linked to 17 year old Filip Jankovic. The young Serbian has already been drafted into the Red Star Belgrade first team and is highly rated as one for the future.

Roma have apparently already expressed an interest in the £3million rated player, and it's expected many more will tip their hand as January nears.

interesting, link to a winger. We have been a bit narrow at times, would like to see that change. We'll probably get the sort of player who could supply bent just at the time we sell Bent! lol

Hey are Fear, im still worried we are pinning our hopes on Bentekers even though he is still young and learning the game, if we aded a creative player and winger in January keeping Bent and Benteke would have been brill seems not to be, i hope Lambert gets this big decision right!

I am that much of a contradictive two face dip head after having a go about Downing i would take him back tbh yes you may stone me! Our midfield just is too basic its a bog standard one, as Fear says its a simple solution bring back Barry (who i also moaned about when he left us) and Milner whats so difficut to understand??

A winger? Yes please. Add width and options. Desperately needed. Pity Jack Grealish and Jordan Graham aren't further down the road, but they are not, and we need some quality width now.

Villa are a very different team than when Bent was scoring goals. Lambert isn't daft. He knows Bent is the type of player you build a team around and realizes that we don't have the cash or ability to do that. Selling Bent is a no brainer. Bring in a powerful box-to-box mid (Tom Ince?), a young striker, (ie. Charlie Austin, Jozy Altidore), and maybe even an effective winger (Matt Phillips?) and you will have a team that will do some damage.

Just say no to Downing...

Interesting options bick....tempting, especially Ince depending on the fee.
