So how has Nathan Delfouneso done during his spell so far at Blackpool? Well we are part of a network, so I thought I'd ask - I have intelligent moments like this occasionally!
With thanks to Simon from Vital Blackpool.
1 - Were you surprised, annoyed or delighted that you made the move for Delfouneso when you did and did you know anything about the player before he signed?
Not so much surprise in that we always seem to sign somebody we were not rumoured to be after. I think most of us were pleased in that we had signed a Premier League player and not just somebody from the youth team. As for hearing of him before, hhhmmm unfortunately he scored against us in our Premiership season, so how could we forget.
2 - What has been your impression of him in the games he's had for you. Should he have got more pitch time, is he impressing or isn't he living up to his billing?
Well he started like a house on fire, scoring a brace against Middlesbrough - if Grandin had not snatched the ball he would have had a hat trick. Since then, it's been a little patchy. Not quite the same impact as say Shelvey from Liverpool last year. Saying that, he has been getting more pitch time of late and seems to be improving. He needs to increase his goal ratio. What he does do though is interact with the crowd and get them going which is good. Is he a Premiership regular? I think he could benefit from a full Championship season.
3 - The loan deal still has time to run but depending on how he's performed, are you hopeful the club will put in an offer and take him permanently in January, do you think he needs more time to impress, or would you be happy to see the loan cancelled in the New Year?
Would our Chairman stump up money to buy a Premier League striker? I doubt it. I would like to see him stay the full season on loan. I have a feeling he will start racking up some goals as he gets used to things more - which will benefit us as we seek to get back up the table. Likewise it will help you for his return. On that point, again, see Shelvey.
4 - What would you say his strengths and weaknesses have been in the games played for you?
Strengths - good control and works a channel well (he has not been playing down the middle for us) and as I say likes to whip the crowd up. Weakness - should win more in the air (though this has improved) and should get more goals per game.
5 - Have any interesting nicknames and chants been created on the back of his arrival?
Sadly lacking in that department I am afraid. I think we used up our witty quota for the year on Tiago Gomes. Just referred to as 'The Fonz', but I suspect that's nothing new to you that one!

Did it before JF for a couple, but completely forgot about it as an idea, and it was Clive banging on in the forum and it finally clicked lol So cheers to you Clive!
Lurman, it's only been two loans mate in reality. 2 months at Burnley (7 apps, 4 subs 1 goal), a month at Leicester (4 subs only) and now a full season with the Seasiders (so far 9 apps, 7 subs, 3 goals). To be fair he should've been out for a season far earlier.
Yup agree Glen, we in many ways held him back when he was on the cusp and it's cost him. Does seem Albie might be going the same way with Bannan and Westwood looking good together...his best chance was to adapt to the central role and it hasn't worked sadly. Lambert has some good decisions to make doesn't he, getting rid of Albie and Delboy might not be popular with some, but unless he can get the best from them, we have to look at what's better for all parties even though I think Albie's delivery is second only to Bannan's eye for a pass.
