Every now and then a rumour is started (quite often from the same person who does nothing but rake up the ****) that is so ridiculous I just assume it will be laughed at. But I`m usually wrong and because of the way the internet works, it spreads and becomes fact! The latest? The rumour is Darren Bent is not being played because after his next game we`d have to pay Sunderland another £6million. Really? See: £6million Bent Rumour - As Usual - Nonsense!

Following the earlier guff about Darren Bent storming out, coupled with the genuine curiosity as to why he didn't make the bench tonight, Paul Lambert was asked an obvious question. In quotes carried by Sky Sports following the game, Lambert insisted that Bent has a future at the club and was still in his plans, but simply Bent had to earn his involvement like everybody else.
