According to Talksport Villa are in a tussle with Fiorentina for France U21 left-back Massadio Haidara.

Apparently Alex McLeish had lined him up but was unable to complete the deal. The 19-year-old is rated, according to the report, at £2.5million.

Interesting that a lot of these signings seem to have been lined up by McLeish, and we're still going for them....not supporting him, as think his footy was dire, but would he have found a few gems?
