FA Ban Lambert For Justified City Comments
Paul Lambert has accepted an £8000 fine and a touchline ban for 'thoroughly justified conduct,' sorry so called improper conduct due to the idiot linesman in the City game.
Paul pulled no punches following the game in his comments about the state of officiating, and obviously the Football Association don't take kindly to proper criticism.
A statement from the FA read:
'Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert has admitted a breach of FA Rule E3. It relates to language and/or behaviour amounting to improper conduct following his side's game at Manchester City. Lambert accepted the standard penalty for the charge and will now serve a one match touchline ban to commence with immediate effect. He has also been fined £8000.'
I look forward to the charge of inventing penalties for the linesman which will surely follow won't it...oh no, that's right, referee's are rarely accountable for their errors unless it affects the so called big boys are they.

Totally believeable reaction from the incompetent FA to justified criticism of the assistant referee(bull**** name). No doubt he will not get a ban from officiaiting. Still i suppose we are used to poor refereeing where our club is concerned, Mr Dowd springs to mind. About time we fought back by saying something, like the so called big clubs do

Fine yes but ban no way. The jumped up lino, sorry assistant ref as the nobs with delusions of grandeur now like to be called was wrong and PL was correct in airing his grievances. Hope he doesn't let them oppress him and he still gives them hell next time it's deserved.

Yet more evidence of corruption...This is the "self protection racket" in its full glory. "The untouchables" is what they should be called as they are completely unaccountable to anybody. The whole thing stinks to high heaven it really does... I would love to see the league tables from the last dozen seasons with all the game changing decisions voided.. i bet it would make quite remarkable reading & i think Man U would have a title or three less thats for sure.

The amount of money splashing around in the modern game makes me worry that serial influencing is going on and has been for some time in regards to officials. I am absolutely flaberghasted at some of the refereeing decisions I have seen over the past few years. I played at a decent level, and referees and linesmen at semi pro leagues just did not get things as wrong as Premier League officials do.
