EXCLUSIVE: Brad Guzan Reacts To Player Of Month

EXCLUSIVE: Brad Guzan Reacts To Player Of Month

Brad Guzan won our player of October vote (See: October Player Of The Month Results ) by 64%.

The Villa keeper has reacted to the news and said exclusively to Vital Villa:

"We`re growing together as a team and making real progress, we really believe that. The group is very tight-knit and hard-working and the effort has been there from the beginning of the season. We`ll continue to gel and improve as a team and as a squad, we have no doubt about this and the manager has no doubt about this, and we can take real heart from recent performances and our continued progression in the Capital One Cup.'

Guzan home kit

Adding, 'I`d like to thank the fans on Vital Villa for voting for me but it`s very much a team thing. In terms of the goalkeeping department, Shay pushes me hard and I like to think that I push him hard, too, and that`s how we can both get better. That kind of competition for places is healthy throughout the team and it`s an essential part of the vibrant, progressive team the gaffer is determined to build here.'

'The fans have been totally brilliant in their support of the team and that`s been evident both home and away. It means everything to the players to know that the fans are behind us to that extent in every game and, hopefully, we can continue to bounce off one another the way we have been doing and produce some more exciting and winning performances together. That`s what we`ll strive to do."

Lovely quotes, made even better by the fact I know a couple of folks who know him and say what a gent he is!

Loving this new thing with players reacting to Vital Villa's POTM. Makes us plebs feel more important! And what a keeper our Brad is becoming too!

Yup nice touch, and good to see the team ethic coming through again in almost everything the players are saying these days.

I think the problem is the players really believe we are making progress , they need to wake up and smell the coffee . We are getting worse by the week result wise
