Villa Snare Swedish Talent

Villa Snare Swedish Talent

Aston Villa have stolen a march on our rivals and snapped up Swedish star Khalid Abdo.

The 16 year old had been receiving numerous interest from the likes of Fulham, Hamburg and others, but when he knew of Villa's interest, he only had one destination in mind:

'Back in September I found out that Villa wanted to recruit me. I'm happy, it feels good.'

Abdo explains he'll be starting with the U18 team but he has his eyes set on a few reserve outings as soon as he can, as he feels he'll have no problem adapting to the pace of our U21 set up.

He even gives himself a year to achieve it, so motivation and confidence aren't an issue!

'Aston Villa often graduate players for the first team. Their Academy is the best of those, I feel I can best develop here.'

Unfortunately, he also added:

'The goal is to step up to the first team and then maybe move on to a bigger club.'

I suppose the 'maybe' makes it sounds better in some ways...

Not the way you endear yourself to a new club... "You'll do for now until something better comes along". Great. Don't stub your toe on the way out the door.

Maybe move on to a bigger club? I don't like him already. But at least he has confidence in his ability I suppose...

By the time he's in the first team (if hes as good as he thinks he is 2 or 3 years) there wont be any bigger teams in the world. Mwahahahahahaha

There'll be an " I was misquoted" thing next. But this is where we're at gents. PL will make him work for it at least!!

Oh dear - if he was in a skirt he'd be a WAG. We ve bought him BMV as it were. Put the investment in timewise and then sell the *****er on for big bucks. Next.

Young kid,big mouth and head, once at Villa he will not want to move on.........don't worry about the bigger club, you have to make it at the biggest club first...........That's Villa Park............mate.......

Just what we need..... Next!!
13/11/2012 22:11:00
haha whether he is any good or not, I do not know. One thing I do know however, is that he isn't very smart.
13/11/2012 22:56:00
Doesn't bother me in the least. Should he realize those aspirations and move to some bigger club we stand to make a considerable profit off of him. Should we be challenging for higher honors then we currently are when he were to join the first team he'll change his tune then. Time will sort him out either way
