'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Pre Sunderland Injury News

KEA suspended, and late fitness tests for Herdy, Clarkie and Baker...erm...y.

Speaking to the Official Site about our walking wounded, Paul Lambert our defensive worries continued as Ron Vlaar's likely partners would be undergoing late fitness tests:

'Chris injured his knee, we don't know how bad it is yet. We're got to hope one of the lads, Chris, Ciaran or Nathan is okay. Ciaran's not looking too bad at the moment and Richard is not looking too bad. We will see how they are this week.'

We also have midfield issues as Karim El Ahmadi serves an automatic one match ban after picking up five yellows already:

'That's the line you tread, but you can't curtail El Ahmadi's all action game. That's the way Karim plays. There is no point in me picking him if you tell him to hold off, he goes in for 50/50s and if they catch someone or are late, you have to take the consequences.'

Lets keep our fingers crossed for them all. I think we need Herd in for KEA if Ciaran or Nathan are fit.
Pride of Lions
At least with Herdy and Clark if they are fit they are flexible enough to cover defence or midfield.

KEA all action game ? doesn't exactly put a foot in , but gets booked for silly little fouls . If you must get booked make it worth it !!
