Getting Through Was All That Mattered

Gabby Agbonlahor has said that progression in the cup was all that mattered last night against Swindon.

Speaking to the Official Site as fans pick over our performance in last night's 3-2 victory, Gabby said he was impressed with the shift Swindon put in, but the result is all that counts in cup games like that:

'Swindon did really well and it was a typical cup tie. I was happy to score on the night. But more important was the fact we got through to the next round. If you'd have offered us 3-2 before the game we would have taken it, we just wanted the win. To get the victory in 90 minutes was big, hopefully we'll get a good draw in the next round.'

All that matters this Saturday is 3 points too!

Nice goal from Gabby but I couldn't help noticing that the all important touch before he shot was a bit wobbly.

Agreed, all that matters is wins at the moment. I have a funny feeling the lads will pull a performance out against Sunderland. UTV
