Great Expectations

Great Expectations

Paul Lambert has called on the squad to live up to our expectations as we face Swindon in the Capital One Cup tonight.

Speaking to the Official Site ahead of the match Lambert acknowledged that we were favourites in the clash so he wants the team to thrive under the pressure.

'For any big team that goes and plays at a lower league side, the expectancy is always on the bigger team. Tonight will be not different! I've been there, I know exactly what it will be like and it will be a hard game. They tell me Paolo Di Canio is an extrovert character, I've never met him but he was a great player.'

Expectancy levels are high, but the question is what team turns up. The men who faced Newcastle, or the boys who blew Norwich?

I have more hope when Villa play rather than expectation! Even vs Swindon. I will leave expectation to fans of Man U, City & Chelsea. And of course Liverpool fans as they are still deluded enough to expect
