Richard's Not Dunne With Injury Yet

Paul Lambert has revealed that it could be as late as Christmas before Richard Dunne breaks a sweat for the first team again.

In comments made to the Birmingham Mail Lambert said that Dunne had suffered some complications during his recovery from surgery and asked the question if he was anywhere near returning to training, especially given we only have one natural centre half who's fit, the manager said:

'No he's not, he's been feeling a lot better and that's a good thing. He's still not training with us but hopefully he'll start very shortly. He might get the tail end of the year, but you've got to take into account the training time to get fit.'

Lambert added that the problem was an issue in the groin area.

W need him in the team BIG TIME. His experience will be ivaluable..I ill upset a lot of people by suggesting thatSteven Warnock shouldn't be out on loan but playing for us to give Bennett more time to adapt to the Premiership

I think he means he's baggage, who happens to be Irish kenner. However, after saying that, we could of done with him alongside Vlaar yesterday.

How sad and bad times must be to ven think of bringing back this player, heis old and has been a poor defender for a long long time imo we really are scraping the barrell here, but as long as our finance books look good thats all that matters im told thats why we have crap players like Dunne here.
