We've Deserved More From Games

Karim El Ahmadi believes that Villa have deserved more from every game apart from Everton, but that it's no point focusing on that, we've got to earn more in the games to come.

Speaking to the Official Site the recent common theme of 'luck' came up again, but KEA believes we'll be fine as long as we keep putting the effort in:

'From what I see there is no team we have played against that have destroyed us or are much better than us. The only game we've lost where the other team was much better was Everton.'

I'd imagine many of us are thinking about the second half against Southampton as well to be honest.

'In the other games we could have made a draw or a win. The most important thing is we keep our heads high. We have a good team and we have to show it against Norwich. It's not like the team we played are much better, it's more like we are unlucky. I think it's important to have faith that we can win games at this level.'

Luck's a funny word to use when it comes to football, yes we haven't had the rub of the green, but ultimately you make your own luck in this game and whilst we've been working hard, the guilt edged errors and missing are biting us way too often.

Hopefully against Norwich we can have both a good game, and take our chances and the confidence boost that should bring should help as we head into a tough run of fixtures.

four pieces of bad luck against us? Nah, sorry. they nearly had a 5th if not for a great Guzan save!

Yeah, there's no point living a dream. We are probably where we deserve to be in the table. Lots of enthusiasm and heads stay up until we concede. Once we do, we never look like turning the game around. Just get the impression that there's no-one in the team that the yoots can look up to and count on to deliver a goal from nothing. No players in the squad with ultimate carefree confidence that they're good enough and that they deserve 3 points. The endeavour is good but still need an experienced proven winner of something to generate confidence. In fact has anyone in our whole squad won any trophies ever?? Got to get a winning mentality ASAP.

Bolton deserved more from last season games, they ended up relegated, Blackpool came stroling into the prem league and played great stuff but conceeded far too many, time to stop the talking and get back to winning ways, until we can string back to back wins my fears of releagtion are real, we just do not seem to have the steel in midfield to help the defence keep solid or carve teams open with killer passes to the front men regulary, thats why i expect money spent in January to add some quality to our midfield

Cant agree with Karim. We didn't deserve anything at West Ham, nor at Fulham, while our second half fade out at White Hart Lane ensured that Tottenham ran out deserved winners. At Newcastle United a draw was probably a fair result, as was the home derby against West Bromwich Albion. No, we are where we are, and have the points total that we have, because that's exactly what our performances deserve. No more, no less.

Can't agree with KEA, I'm afraid. I've seen most of the games and, in every game I've seen, we got exactly what we deserved - mostly nothing.

Dont agree with Karim either but on the bright side at least the games we have lost I dont feel as humilated as I did last season playing to keep the score down. This team has yet to gel think the lack of creativity in midfield is obvious to everyone but solving that problem may not be so easy, this type of player are much sort after and the proven ones would be expensive IF they wanted to come to us in the first place.
