Bent On Fulham & Norwich

Bent On Fulham & Norwich

Darren Bent has said he thinks we were worthy of a point against Fulham, and he also believes results will soon follow as Paul Lambert gets it right.

Speaking to the Official Site about Fulham, Norwich and Lambert, Benty said:

'I don't think we deserved to lose. We should have come away with a point, but it wasn't meant to be so we move onto the next game. It's a big match for the gaffer this weekend, you always want to do well against your former club. All the fans and the players are backing him and I'm sure we'll turn the results around.'

Certainly set to be a bit of a firecracker this weekend isn't it, especially as we really need another three points on the board to boost everybody.

If we don't get three points on Saturday, I don't think it would be too early to say, we're stuffed!

DB9 needs to do his talking on the pitch as do the rest of the team. It hasn't been good enough so far and we need to fight tooth and nail for a win against those in and around us. High tempo and plenty of ball retention will help along with taking any chances put before us. It's looking like every game is a difficult one at the moment.

What does Bent know!? He's useless, all he does is score goals. I mean scoring goals, how pointless is that!? What we need to do is sell him and buy a grafting striker who doesn't do silly things, like scoring goals. Probemo sortido (that's Mexican).

I endorse this game as most important game of our season at least thus far...

Second that EIRE. Villa will be in a relegation battle this season. Fairly certain of that. The club just hasn't got enough quality players. A technical director might be a good idea. Unfortunately, I can see many fans calling for Harry 'Red Adaire' Redknapp if things continue to go pair shaped. Bad idea. Lambo's the man. Villa are only a pawn in their -- UEFA/European Club Association -- game.

I am not sure why they didn't think they deserved to lose? Bit confused, we hardly shot, certainly not on target. However, not having a go at Bent, I like him! lol

Would agree VillaWillRiseAgain keeping Lambert is a must we have a decent manager but hes working with a squad bereft of a midfield with Holman the only one showing any form. I understand and applaud what Lamberts trying to do re- young hungry players, my only concern is he wont get time in the prem. for them to develop goes without saying we continue to support both team & manager and regardless of what happens would stick with Lambert he is the future of this club.
