Paul Lambert has said he is remaining relaxed about the season because there are still 'country miles' to go in it.
Speaking to the Official Site as the fans' frustration bubbles following the Fulham result, Lambert said he was staying relaxed and was just focused on training and preparing for the next game as we search for more wins:
'We've got to push on. There's no time to mope. If you start feeling sorry for yourself then you get problems. Some of the football we are playing a the moment is pleasing, it's not like we're struggling all over the park. Oh for heaven's sake, there are country miles to go, but we do need to start turning these performances into wins. I'm not overly concerned, I don't think it will be long before we turn performances into results, I really don't.'
Lambert also talks about the team being mentally strong enough to bounce back and click properly so we can have a winning run, as he still believes it's how you cope with disappointment that makes a team, do you let your head drop, or do you redouble your efforts and energy?
He's banking on the latter.
He also said ahead of Norwich that there are still doubts over Ciaran Clark and he's yet to be informed on how badly injured Nathan Baker is:
'I don't know how bad it is with Nathan. We'll have to wait and see. He did ever so well in the game. Ciaran hurt his knee so we'll have to wait and see as well. I don't know yet if they will be able to be involved next weekend, but we've got a full week to see how they are.'
