'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Delph Acknowledges Fan Contribution

As we slowly gear back up for the Fulham game following the pointless international break, Fabian Delph has taken time out to praise the faithful.

Speaking to the Official Site Delph talked about the team wanting to not only win for the supporters but also ensure that they are entertained in the process, because we are a key part of the club:

'The fans are really important, they're a big part of our identity. In fairness they still came last season when we weren't doing well and it's nice to entertain your fans and I think we have done that in spells in games. We want to do it more and more as this campaign progresses. We want to win games but we want to entertain aswell. The home fans are magnificent and the away fans are absolutely terrific.'

Many will think this is just fluff, and 'what else is he supposed to say' but for others it just points to the changes taking place at the club and the fact we actually have a happy camp now, where they realise that efforts have to be made to not only clue us into what's going on, but also to let fans know they are appreciated.

We can see them caring, trying and putting the effort in and that's the very least we can expect from them.

The fans could be the difference between survival and relegation. We must continue to back PL and the team even when the going gets tougher.
