And off we go again. We have this years attendance figures (under Lambert) last seasons (under he who shall not be named) and the season before (under Gerard Houllier) Just going to do PL (home) fixtures this time around:

PL: Everton 36,565 up on last season: 31 853 season before: 34 725

PL: Swansea 34,005 down on last season: 35 642 They came en masse... not in PL season before.

PL: WBA 34,489 just up on last season and this season it was televised... 34 152 season before: 37 015

According to soccernet.espn.go.com we are currently 10th in the attendance table.

2011/12 season average was: 33,873 (Alex McLeish)
2010/11 season average was: 37,193 (Gerard Houllier)
2009/10 season average was: 38,573 (Martin O`Neill)
2008/09 season average was: 39,811 (Martin O`Neill)
2007/08 season average was: 40,029 (Martin O`Neill)
2006/07 season average was: 36,214 (David O`Leary)

dont understand why/what the fans motivation is? had more fans on average under DOL and times under him were poor!

2006/2007 was MON's first season me thinks...he was at the Villa for 4 years

You also have to factor that this ties in with the recession / rising petrol costs. I have to travel from Suffolk and have found it much harder to justify this season. Plus didn't fancy it one jot under McLeish!
