Paul Lambert And Norwich City At War!

I`m never a big fan of the 'he said/she said` arguments and especially not Clubs and managers/former managers (or indeed players) doing their business publicly through the press.

However, The Metro amongst others are reporting that Norwich City chairman Bowkett has told a Canaries supporters forum that Villa have paid them no compensation and Lambert is suing Norwich.

'He walked out on us - Aston Villa said he was a free agent so they are not paying us compensation, which we take issue with. However, interestingly Paul Lambert is taking Norwich City to an industrial tribunal for unfair dismissal and breach of contract, and he wants £1.5m to £2m from us. So we look forward to those tribunals.'

close up press conference

Lambert has hit back, quotes from www.itv.com saying fans are only hearing one side of the argument.

'I'm extremely disappointed that senior officials at Norwich have made comments in relation to myself. I'll let him (the Chairman) say what he has got to say and we'll see what happens."

He also says the case will go before the LMA (Premier League Managers Tribunal)

He adds, 'What Norwich haven't made public is that they are suing me. It is disrespectful and wrong to that tribunal for me to comment anymore. That's the way I'm going to leave it. Am I concerned Norwich fans are only hearing one side of the story? In a word, yes.'

The only real fact that affects us?

We play Norwich at Villa Park on October 27. On that day, we should pack the place to support the manager surely!?

Such a sorry state of affairs. Wish they could hurry up and sort it out so we can all move on.

Atleast PL is hadling it with a bit of dignity, making a breif statement without washing dirty laundry in public, inlike the "point scoring" board of Norwich.
villan of the north
Yeah, needs to be done quickly, we want him 100% concentrating on the football.

I'm sure Paul won't let this effect his work at Aston Villa. It's a shame it has to come to this, but there are obviously some murky waters still to be sorted.
