Have the Villa fans turned against Bent? I know he only came on as a sub and I'm in no way suggesting that Bent was the main man against the Baggies but generally one would assume that the man who gets you out of the ***** would get better than 6% of the vote. I for one want Bent to stay for many years and continue his fantastic scoring record of nearly one in two for us. Even if that's all he does I'm not fussed, scoring goals is his main priority and he does it rather well.

6% is his best for the season to be fair, so not a bad ranking 3rd!

Over the full 90 mins you have got to give it to Holman the effort and energy he puts in its no wonder he will be septembers main man. No villan of the north dont think we have turned against Bent considering he came on as sub in this one was going to make it difficult for him to win it.

I watched him against Swansea and he was slow to the ball against Ashley Williams, who isn't having his best season compared to last season. He only looked decent when Benteke came on, his new threat perhaps ? So for me I'm not surprised if the fans have turned against him. During that match there certainly was the odd rumble everytime he failed to impress. Gabby also looked down during that match, stuck on the sub bench but look how he responded in the Man City game. But then we now Gabby will always show he is Villa through and through, as for Bent, maybe it's time to cash in on a 28yr old who is struggling to find the form we paid so much money for. You certainly wouldnt go shouting your mouth of the press if you weren't performing as you should.

tvrwhitey...who has gone shouting to the press?! Bent was asked a post match question on Sunday, and answered it honestly. Am I the only one who sees this?!?!?!?!?!?!?

No Franco, you're not. It's just the press looking for a story.

Gabby may be Villa through and through, but he was doing SFA last spring, sulking around the pitch........

Franco - yes you are read the Mirror report by James Nursey, who says he was asked not to talk to the press and ignored this because he wanted to get things of his chest : Afterwards, Bent offered myself and two other hacks a candid insight into his unhappiness. Bent was actually asked by a club official near the start of the interview not to speak to the press, but the forward clearly wanted to make his point. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/why-aston-villa-boss-paul-lambert-1358225

Pride of Lions - Gabby was played out of position on the wing last season NOT in his rightful place up front.
