Mancini Speaks With His Hands?
Ah yes, this is about that little spat between the managers last night. Apparently Mancini didn't say anything because he didn't move his hands.
After the game Mancini confirmed it was following a Joe Bennett tackle on Gareth Barry that started the war of words:
'I'm tired with this manager because I didn't say anything. I asked the fourth official if it was a yellow card without moving my hands.'
Admittedly I have very childishly cropped that quote for effect, because I love the idea of Mancini 'miming' from the sidelines. Gives me a tickle, but I'm in that kind of mood.
Mancini's real point was he didn't speak to Paul Lambert directly, he spoke to the 4th official questioning/suggesting it should be a booking, and then curiously objected when Lambert stepped up rather ill tempered questioning whether the City boss was trying to get one of his players booked.
Handbags at dawn really and happens every game, and the press have only picked up on it because Mancini then turned it into a rant against SirAlex.
Lambert for himself said of the issue:
'If that's what he said fine. It wasn't really a spat, it was nothing. I'm delighted to win and delighted for the fans who came to watch.'

Apparently he asked the linesman to check if the ref had left his cards in the dressing room. Gotta hand it to him, that's quite funny!
