Hmmmmmmmm. Bent gets DROPPED and not even on from the bench and we beat the 90% fully strength league champions at their place!!! Gabby has scored twice as much with much less game time. As I've said previously, it allows the rest to play by dropping the excess baggage who's incapable of pulling his weight. Bannan out aswell. Damn I hate being right. No-one likes a smart arse ( except the smart arse himself .)

The things I noticed: Gabby got 2 against the champs, the champs were at home, they were practically as strong as normal anyway, and villa knocked 4 past them. Quite a legendary result for this generation.

What a fantastic result and response from the weekend. lambert has got the steel that other so called managers never had. In the hat tomorrow night if we can beat the champions in their own back yard then we should fear no one!!

Okayyyyy. I'll take the bait...the team won...why turn it into a Bent gloat. Also, he's not dropped until the gaffer says he is dropped and I bet you he plays v WBA...agree re Bannan. I reckon Bent was RESTED ;-)...one could call it ROTATION?

If I recall Bent scored against the Saints Mr 444, so why knock him. Surely having all our strikers scoring goals is not a bad thing?????? If you ask me, dropping Bannan made a bigger difference than "resting" Bent :) Anyways, that result was a blinder. UTV......

Think we might have won by 6 if we had Bent on as well. But good that we can rest our star names for games such as this. Good to see 'Sid' in with the away supporters as well. Think he enjoyed it when we sang to him 'have you won the European Cup?'
