These Are The Games I Signed Up For
Joe Bennett has said he is hoping to start against Man City tonight, because these are exactly the sort of games he was looking forward to so he can test himself against the best.
Speaking to the Official Site Bennett talked about a good cup run giving team's a good boost of confidence for the league campaign, but it's games like this that he wanted to be in the Premiership for:
'These are the kind of games that you want to play in as a young player. I've joined Villa to hopefully play against the likes of Manchester City and test myself against some top players. Hopefully I've got a good chance of playing, these are the kind of challenges you want to take on as a player. I want to play against the best.'
Confidence isn't an issue for our new signing, and you'd have to imagine with Lichaj having an off game last time out that he'll be brought in for his full debut, and Lambert is guaranteed to make a few changes.
