Villa Will Stay Strong

Ron Vlaar has said Villa will stay strong following the Southampton disappointment as we now look to Manchester City in the Cup.

Speaking to the Official Site Vlaar said the team couldn't let themselves get carried away with the defeat as we needed to push on, 'stay strong' and stay focused on the challenges ahead:

'We have to stay strong now and we have another game Tuesday which we need to prepare for. It's going to be difficult but we will go and try to win the game. Everybody wants to do better and I hope we can show this in the way we play.'

As for the Southampton game, Vlaar said:

'We played fine earlier in the game, we might have gone two up. Then very quickly and out of nothing, they scored an equilising goal and close to this they scored a second and then a third and that deflated us. We didn't play well enough after this to get back into the game. We couldn't get going again.'

Hopefully the Southampton game was one of a handful of bad days at the office that we'll get this season, and Tuesday will see a return to the team playing as well as we know they can.

Depends which team Man Citeh put out doesn't it. Do they put out their half a billion first team, or their quarter billion second team - thats the big question...Lol
Pride of Lions
hopefully they learn from it and move on. Not sure that Man City is a game I fancy straight after a tonking though. But Baggies next Saturday I will be bothered about!
