Lambert Pre Saints

Lambert Pre Saints

Paul Lambert's Press Conference time again, and although there's nothing earth shattering - you might as well read it!

I'll cherry pick.

Q] Has there been a change in confidence since Swansea win?

A] No. I don't get too carried away when we win or when we lose. It's important to kick on again. We need to forget about last week and go again. The lads have been great.

-----

Q] Is the onus on the new players to settle quickly?

A] You don't get time to bed in. Football is instant, it's an instant game. You have to hit the ground running. If you're playing, I expect you to go and try to perform. I have nothing but praise for the team for what they have done.

-----

Q] What will the approach be like against Southampton?

A] It will be the same as what it always is. I will not change. We will try and win. It will be a tough, tough game down there. I have been down there before a few years ago. It's a tough place but we will try and win.

-----

Q] Good turnaround last few weeks?

A] I think things have picked up since the Tranmere game. Against West Ham, even though we got turned over, we played pretty well, we just didn't have that end product, Everton turned us over hands-down, we didn't turn up for that one and the other three games we have been right in it. I have been really happy with those past few weeks.

-----

Q] Great noise at Villa Park against Swansea?

A] It was brilliant. You couldn't hear yourself shout. If they can keep that going, it will be some place. If we can get the heights of that, then that place will certainly take off. I used to watch the semi-finals of the FA Cup from Villa Park. The only time I experienced it in person properly was when Norwich came up. I can imagine what it's like when it's rocking. You have to get it rocking.

-----

Lambert also talks about the onus being on Southampton to make the running, and that the players should relish the atmosphere on away days - as well as again repeating his praise for the faithful against Swansea.

What is there really to say before a match. The press will ask the usual questions, so PL will give the usual answers. But there you go, thats football...Lol

Yawn..............I dont know why they bother asking the same questions, week in, week out. Its not like Lambert is all of a sudden gonna say " yeah were f-in brilliant, Im the best manager in the world, , and were gonna give Saints a right old pasting "

Uh oh! The end sentence to Question 1 was: "The lads have been great". Does that mean Lambert is really David 'O' Leary? Do we just have a "great bunch of lads"? I feel an article coming on....paniiiiic!!!!!!
