20 20 Vision At Villa Park

It was a special moment to be at Villa Park on Saturday in the match v Swansea.

Why?

To see the two Number 20s come on together in the 70th minute (Luke Moore and Christian Benteke) - the two big freescoring striker hopes of Villa's past and the future. One is no Moore, and one looked magnificent!

Benteke scoring

My best memory of Luke Moore (Swansea's No 20 on Saturday) was seeing him be the first ever away player to bang in a hat-trick at the Riverside in Villa's 4 0 demolition of Middlesbrough.

Benteke's goal will no doubt be just for starters of many great moments for Villa.

Roll on three days, and 20 / 20 was followed by the pleasure of watching another debut in Blackpool's new Number 40 shirt (The Fonz) bang in 2 goals (also against Middlesbrough).

The Fonz also looked magnificent, with instant control, beautiful touch, and great movement playing the whole 90 mins in an attacking team, Many may now doubt him, but I think all agree the loan move is a good one all round. I certainly still believe he can come back to show us he can be a top class player.

Nathan Delfouneso finally realises his potential, according to Ian Holloway, so says the Blackpoool Gazette

Fonz is clinical according to Vital Blackpool

Totally agree about the fonz, still believe he has bags of potential. My only worry now is that, for the first time in years we might have too many strikers for him to make a mark...bent, gabbi, benteke, weimann, bowrey, delfounseo...even drennan, burke, Robinson. Oh well, nice problem to have!
