'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Lowton Creating Granddad Stories

Matthew Lowton has said in the future he'll be telling his grandkids about his goal against Swansea and he hopes he can add many more moments such as those before he hangs his boots up.

Speaking to the Official Site the Swansea match was extra special as Lowton had his family in toe, and his goal will be a memory he passes onto future generations.

'Years from now, I'll be telling my grandkids about that goal. I will be making sure they tell their grandkids as well. I don't score many like that, but it was a wonderful feeling to see it fly into the net. It was fantastic, it's just the sort of thing you dream about.'

Lowton also says that the players were delighted with the win, but also the performance as they know they thoroughly deserved the victory.

Somebody get the lad a pipe and a pair of slippers. Hopefully, that goal will be a footnote to his REAL achievements at Villa.
