Bennett Hoping For Debut In First Ever Visit To VP

Joe Bennett has said he is hoping to make his debut against Swansea at Villa Park, even though it will be his first ever visit to the ground.

Speaking to the Official Site ahead of the game, Bennett said he was looking forward to pulling the shirt on and showing fans what he could do, as well as repaying the faith Paul Lambert has shown in him by bringing him into the top flight.

'I've never been to Villa Park before, it looks a massive stadium, quality. But match day will be my first time there in the flesh. If the gaffer picks me, it will be one of the best days of my life. Hopefully we can give the fans something to shout about. The prospect of playing doesn't intimidate me.'

Sounds a very confident lad, and should do very well for us from the little I've seen of him.

I'd imagine a start from the bench.
