What? Me in corporate for the Swansea game and selling out to the prawn sandwiches? I couldn`t possibly comment. :)

Gabby Agbonlahor has said he is relishing the competition this season with Christian Benteke coming in - hopefully it won't mean we'll see him on the wing again though! Speaking to the Official Site Gabby said he had a battle on his hands to win back a starting place - although it must be said he's done himself no harm with his cameo at Newcastle! - but he thinks the squad has a better balance upfront now, both in terms of experience and youth, and he thinks it's going to be a good old battle as the season progresses. Andreas Weimann has talked about his desire to secure as much first team football this season as he can, as he wants to work his way back into the plans of the Austrian manager. Full article: Weimann Looking To Push On This Season

A brand new Villa Lions Legends association. FAR more information to come over the next month or so. Exciting stuff, trust me! Here is a golf day initiative they have, the golf section is now full (albeit they will still take a reserve list and also, I guess you could go on the list for future events) but the evening event still has availability. worldclassAV: Question of Best XI... A Team for ALL Occasions? No thanks… I`ve seen this article on numerous sites, in this, the dullest international breaks… The Question of Lamberts Strongest Team… People have gone in to great detail explaining formation choices and tactical options. They have put huge thought in to the make up and balance of the team. See: Question of Best XI...?

Well this is a strange one. Always seems to be something going on with Villa where it looks like an us v them! The Club, following 9 complaints, have banned the One Stan Petrov flag from games because it obstructs fans views. The flag is unfurled in the 19th minute. Obviously, the Club do put up Stan and #19 on the big screens during the minutes applause, but this flag will now be stopped from being unfurled. Full article: #19 Flag Issue Blows Up!?

The most recent Supporters Consultation Group meeting took place ahead of the Everton clash, and here are the questions in all their glory....Latest SCG Answers

Paul Brown: Former boss John Gregory says Stephen Ireland is a thriller down the Villa. Gregory admits he would have loved the chance to work with precocious Ireland when he was manager in B6. The 59-year-old is a big fan of the magnificent midfield marauder but would like Ireland to produce his classy displays more regularly. He said: 'I'd have loved the chance to work with him. Paul Brown: Joe Bennett fully expects to be nervous if he's selected to make his debut on Saturday against Swansea - and he wouldn't want it any other way. Bennett could well make his home bow for Villa this weekend. The 22-year-old admits he'll be feeling anxious ahead of the Swans test but thinks that's a good thing because heightened emotions improve performance levels. He said: www.avfc.co.uk

Paul Brown: Gareth Barry believes Villa's young guns will have a 'burning desire to succeed' in claret and blue as several eye their debuts against Swansea. Christian Benteke, Jordan Bowery, Ashley Westwood and Joe Bennett are all in line for their home bows at Villa Park on Saturday. Article: www.avfc.co.uk
