for some probably not-very-weird reason - I had the feeling you could just substitute "Yorkey" with "Youngy" and "Greggo" with "MONno" and there you would have it.

Thanks so much for that link - I thoroughly enjoyed it - fascinating. I'd read his biog, but this was even more frank and up to date. If you can, I recommend anyone interested in villa to listen. Makes me think that JG deserves another opportunity somewhere with a semi-decent chairman!

Excellent stuff. All in all, Sir Deadly comes out of it very well, and it seems quite ironic that JG went from the mildly frustrating constraints at Villa to less than straight chaos at Derby. JG seems to confirm the general perception at the time, that he loved himself just a little bit too much. It seems that the fact that he walked away from the best job he was likely to get, has had a lot to do with him not getting the opportunities he was probably due. He sounds impulsive and prone to burn-out.
