He certainly knows where the net is, I just don't like getting caught up on a youtube clip, we could make Agbonlahor look like RVP with the amount of clips we've gathered over the years, but never the less, he knows where the net is, he seems like a big, strong player with and he doesn't look like a shy lad either, the kind of hard character you need when you are down in the dumps.

Yes looks a big strong lad and surely will get more than Heskey . Could be the new Drogba or the new Balaban or something in between . None of us know but I'm looking forwards to finding out

Nicely put villan57. Yep, agree with villa 4 ever too, he doesn't seem a shy lad, so it could be entertaining when he gets going.

I hope he is successful. On a cautionary note does any know if he is still subject to the charge of violent carjacking in Belgium. I know his representatives have steadfastly claimed he was just being interviewed as witness but it is a concern that he is associated with something like this.

With Benteke's power and size, Gabby's speed, and Bent's finishing ability, it looks like Lambert has plenty of exciting combinations to throw on the pitch. It will be interesting to see which combinations he uses against Swansea. . .

Not that I'm sad or anything, but I found MoTD Wales on Virgin just to see Bentecke. P****d off when he never got on the pitch! Was good to see Collins still a waste of space. To make it clear what an anorak I am, also taped Holland v Turkey on ESPN just to see Concrete Ron. Came on last 5 mins, got in 3 great clearances. Really looks a player - reminds me of Jap Staam at his best.

What I liked about this video was that he was not afraid to get on the end of 50-50 balls in the box and make them his, eg the second goal on the tape v Anderlecht and the one in the home game v Standard Liege where he chased down against the keeper and scored with a lovely little flick of the boot. On the evidence here, he has a left foot finish, right foot bullets, a strong header, pace and power, this kid is some prospect. Controversial comment: reminds me of Balotelli without the arrogance. Lets hope the reality is more of the same type of quality without the off field antics.

Blimey, he looks useful.. No idea what the state of the carjacking thing is, AFAIK that was last year and he was interviewed as a witness, not a suspect. I'm a bit more concerned about this mind - http://www.sabotagetimes.com/football-sport/booed-throughout-his-career-aston-villas-new-signing-christian-benteke/ - "the lack of a killer instinct has plagued him throughout his career". The goals in that video are top, some great skill there but the rumblings are that he wastes a shedload of opportunities to get one goal. Or at least he has so far. Let's hope the Villa can sort his head out cos he certainly looks like he has potential.
