Wow. Just goes to show how crap this competition has become, I didn't even know the draw had been made, let alone that we had drawn Man City. Hopefully they will play thier reserve team, so just Milner, Balotelli, Dzeko, Rodwell and Nasri to worry about. :-0

2-1 Villa win, Citeh would have seen our performance agains the barcodes and realised its best they try to contain us rather than attack us and get clobbered, Mancini will be worried! NEEEXT!

Wonder if this'll be on TV. You'd think so but then again sky will probably show the man united game regardless of who they're playing. (Some ***** team no doubt).

It might actually be easier to face a City side with a team full of players who've not played together much, than a side like Everton that will put out a really strong side trying to win the cup. In the early stages the bigger sides tend to take it less seriously... here's hoping! As DeanoVilla says though, their reserve side will be Clichy, Milner, Balotelli etc.

Bit of a negative comment there Deano as I consider the League Cup to be something special to AV as there is only the Red *****e who have won it more than us. TBH I would rather win the League Cup than win the Europa League.

I love the League Cup! It's one of only 2 trophies we have a chance of winning every season (provided we're not in Europe), and we haven't won the other one since 1957! If they take away the League Cup and Europa League, which a lot of people want, teams like Villa will never see silverware again. No fun.

I love any sort of Cup run but we get such bad luck in the draws every year!!

As I live in Manc, I'll be there. unfortunately sat with City fans next to my mate. I will be getting revenge when I take him to Villa Park to sit in the Holt end later in the season!

I love the cups too and besides the top 4 or 5 most teams want to win it. It's great to win something and also a good route into Europe.
