Word On The Tweet - Final Transfer Tweetings!

Just a mop up on the final word on the tweets for this summer transfer window:

Neil Moxley‏@Neil_Moxley_DM
Fee for Benteke £8m. Like PL's policy, just hoping the cuts aren't too deep. Time will out. Very bold. #avfc

Mat Kendrick ‏@MatKendrick
Paul Lambert defiantly declares that his young #avfc squad are strong enough to avoid a Prem relegation battlehttp://www.birminghammail.net/birmingham-sport/aston-villa-fc/aston-villa-news/2012/09/01/aston-villa-paul-lambert-rules-out-a-relegation-fight-97319-31741535/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter

Mat Kendrick ‏@MatKendrick
After this summer's dealings, Villa are confident the wagebill is now at a sustainable level, giving them a solid platform on which to build

Mat Kendrick ‏@MatKendrick
May be a bit of disparity in the transfer figures people have with of add-ons, what is paid when etc, but roughly a net spend of £20million

Mat Kendrick ‏@MatKendrick
By my reckoning (although it can be a bit vague with 'undisclosed fees') I reckon #avfc have spent £23million and recouped £2.5m this summer

Ian Taylor‏@IanTaylor7
I'm all for giving players a chance from lower leagues. PL will be hailed a genius if works. I was given a chance.. Prem not forgiving tho!

Mat Kendrick ‏@MatKendrick
Jordan Bowery did sign in time to be eligible to face Newcastle on Sunday, but not sure yet if he will be in the squad #avfc

Mat Kendrick‏@MatKendrick
Ashley Westwood will wear the No.15 shirt for Villa #avfc

Mat Kendrick ‏@MatKendrick
Christian Benteke will wear the No.20 shirt for Villa #avfc

Timothy Abraham ‏@TimothyAbraham
Lambert on why he didn't go follow up with Dempsey - 'I thought enough was enough..It's never been my policy to overstep the mark.'

Mat Kendrick ‏@MatKendrick
Sorry, it's slipped under the radar a bit, but Nathan Delfouneso's move from #avfc to Blackpool is a season-long loan #pierpressure

James Nursey ‏@JamesNursey
Think #AVFC can be happy with deadline day business. Benteke sounds a great prospect, Westwood was wanted by Swansea so must be talented!

Mat Kendrick ‏@MatKendrick
By the way Christian Benteke's is a four-year deal for a fee believed to be £7 million #avfc

Ron Vlaar‏@RonVlaar4
Welcome Jordan Bowery, Ashley Westwood and Christian Benteke to Aston Villa ! Good to have you onboard ! #AVFC

I hope all this works out (of course, duhhhh). Since none of the fans know a great deal or anything about our signings our new transfer policy feels like diving into the abyss. Let's just hope we come out the other side, if we do this could be great for the clubs future. 2 things to consider. How many of Newcastles signings were known to their fans (Tiote,Cisse etc)? Also, and I think this is very important. We have to back these young players. If things get difficult Villa park can't afford to turn on them, booing each poor touch or screaming at the team when it doesn't go our way. They are young players who will play much better with loud support from all of us.

I agree with what lock says and I will stand by this team Im also pretty happy we didn buy any journeymen or do a QPR on it but the Newcastle situation is very different to be fair... I really want to see these young guys succeed tho and Im sure if we back them they will come good...
