Mystic Mug v Lawro v Newcastle Away

Mystic Mug v Lawro v Newcastle Away

Mystic Mug drew level with Lawro last week 1-1 on predictions.

Happy days! Or not, as Mystic, for the first time ever, backed Villa to lose on the first home game of the season.

Mystic is slowly descending into a Villa depression and says we`ll lose to a better equipped Newcastle this weekend coming (and no, for all those asking me, it isn`t on TV, it was moved due to Newcastle`s European adventures)

I guess we can hope they come back tired!?

Lawro says on BBC Sport that he also see`s nothing but a Newcastle win and says 2-0.

Mystic will go all out for a Villa loss at 2-1...!

Lawro says:

"If Villa are going to stay in this league they have to get the best out of Darren Bent. Paul Lambert has been trying to bring in striker Christian Benteke from Belgium. If they can bring someone in to help and take the pressure off Bent I think they'll be fine but if they don't they'll be in big trouble because defensively they're looking very fragile, including keeper Shay Given. Villa are going to Newcastle, where they will get a thorough examination because United have good attacking players and have options in midfield and up front."

Predictions please folks?

Also, we have our customary win/lose/draw poll (right hand bottom of site)

Sorry to be all doom and gloom, lets hope Villa pleasantly surprise!

With thanks to Ken at Vital Newcastle, here's the lowdown ahead of this weekends game. An Interview With A Newcastle Fan

We are going to get creamed unless the new signings save us and Lambert manages to wake Nzobia up. 4-0 to the bar codes. Cant come to terms with writing this scoreline but sign of the times.
